Piedra y Sombra Designs

What's in a name? Piedra y Sombra Designs, est. 2019, is the fabric and textile production line directly inspired from the fine art photography series of the same name by MGA Studio, Rock and Shadow/Piedra y Sombra.

Thoughtful, durable, beautiful, utilitarian sewing goods made for everyday use.

These items were carefully built using upcycled and natural fabrics, at low-waste, with use of minimal to no plastic.

When you purchase a Piedra y Sombra Design, you are directly supporting New York artist and the local economy.

Proudly sewn and designed in the USA!

Sewing creations inspired by analog photography?

If you know anything about my series, Rock & Shadow, a double exposure black and white photography series, you may have seen that Piedra y Sombra is its color counterpart...

The series has inspired my sewing creations of wearable arts, home décor and accessories. Below is a portfolio of items I have created with vintage Japanese sewing machines and by hand.
